Easy Knit Hat

Even though I have been MIA, I have been crocheting and knitting. I just need to remember to take pictures of my projects before I give them to their new owners!  I have recently knitted a hat with Lion Brand Lion’s Pride Woolspun.  I have used this pattern before and it makes for a slouchy hat without too much “slouch” and it works up very quickly.  Mistakes  I made with this project was knitting while I was sleepy, so there were some wonky looking stitches (only two of them).  I also had jogs at points were I changed colors, because I forgot to correct them.  The video that I use as a tutorial to correct jogs was by Very Pink Knits, I really like her videos.  Due, to those two mistakes, I wasn’t too thrilled with the finished product.  It didn’t look terrible but I am my own worst critic. You can find the pattern here.  The pattern has you making the hat on straight knitting needles and seaming it along the side. That seemed like to much work for me so I used circulars instead. When working with circulars you knit every row for the stockinette stitch.  Overall I love this pattern, I just need to not knit while sleepy (LOL!!).  It makes a really nice hat and you can use whatever color scheme you want with the Lion’s Pride Woolspun. Here are some of the pattern’s Michael’s offer using this yarn, as it is only found at Michael’s.  Here are some pictures:

Oh by the way, my husband really liked the hat so I gave it to him!  He is such a sweetheart and my biggest fan.  Until next time…keep knitting and/or crocheting. 🙂
